An international movement of people who love Jesus and seek to be his disciples

German Sailing Event

Our week long camp in Ratzeburg was a mix of bible study sessions and small group discussions as well as sailing sessions. The evening program included daily devotions, a game night, canoe tour, camp fire and a prayer night in the local cathedral with lots of time in between for conversations and games. Part of the schedule was reading Mark 1-5 in the morning quiet time which we then discussed in our small groups.

We had students from all over Germany with quite a few from the East. Some students are part of local Navigator groups, others were invited by friends. We had about 20 students and young professionals from age 19 to 30.

For me personally (Nele), it was a really great blessing being on the team with Jan and Maik. I learned a lot and am excited for the next camps to come! I am already talking with the other students about doing another camp over New Years, but we’re still figuring out if and how that’s going to happen!)

For our prayer night, I had prepared different corners with questions and Bible verses, about God, about us, our relationships with other people and our priorities. It was great to hear afterwards, how one of the students was encouraged by bible verses he memorized 10 years ago on a Navigators student camp.

I often forget how the Lord is using my work, but I know He is. So often He is working in the unseen, working in the hearts of people in ways that are out of my sight. I don’t need to see it but I know, He uses what I give Him to glorify Himself.
