I’m Eilidh, I have been working with the Stirling Navs student ministry team for the past 3 years after studying in Stirling! One story that’s been very encouraging for me recently is that in spring time 2023, I started meeting with a 2nd year Law student who had no faith background but had dated a Christian boy so she wanted to explore it. She was very open to faith but sceptical! She came with lots of questions and was honest about where she was at, often saying that she wasn’t “convinced” by the Gospel (but thankfully over time that changed!!).
They broke up not long afterwards but she continued meeting with me and we went through the “Discover Jesus” Navs resource together and she had become a Christian by December 2023!
She is now a 4th year student and we have continued to meet weekly since then and are now doing a study on Godly womanhood together.
She has got plugged into Christian communities and recently even quit her Sunday job so she could come to church.
The most encouraging part of this is that I can already see generational discipleship through her, as she is about to start to meeting with another student she recently met who wants to explore faith, and they’re going to work through “Discover Jesus” together!
