The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
Leviticus 19:34 (NIV)
“Into the nations” our Navigators calling clearly states, reflecting the last message of our Lord Jesus Christ before ascending to heaven. What a time we live in, when the world has become globalized, and the distance between nations is just a click or a short flight away. What’s more, our continent is now multicultural, and the nations are next door to all of us!
What a beautiful thing it is to connect with people of other cultures, we learn a lot when crossing cultures, meeting people who think differently. It is a blessing, a learning opportunity, as well as an opportunity to share good news. Now, how do we share good news in an understandable way that makes sense to those of other cultures? And how can the good news even take root in new communities? Wrestling with those questions is exactly what this network is about.
Individuals and teams around Europe find themselves in relationships with people of other faiths and backgrounds, and they want to engage well with their friends. Sharing experience with like-minded people is then invaluable. We meet digitally every month for teaching and prayer for one another, and annually we do a conference where we can have fellowship in person. In our midst are also mobile alongsiders who travel around encouraging and equipping members of the network.
