Romans 15:14
I myself am convinced, my brothers and sisters, that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with knowledge and competent to instruct one another.
The Regional Team are just back from an inspiring week with our central and eastern European missional pioneers. Two words stand out for me, Passion and Generations.
Passion because these resilient people have a history of sharing Christ in difficult spaces, from the secret days of the ‘iron curtain’ to the Ukrainian front line, and even leading Russian soldiers to Christ in Belarus. This passion to share Christ has given birth to so many innovating platforms, schools, businesses, social justice movements and art festivals.
Generations because it was plain to see the generational health as we sat and listened to heart moving stories at the ‘Central Eurasian Partners’ (CIP) conference. From the founding generations of Malcolm and Juls, Allan Bussard, Pavel and Julia, Andrzej and Marzena to the emerging generation of passionate disciples in their 20s and 30s taking over the SLOT arts festival or Camp Arka or pioneering new language schools.
There is much to be thankful for as we continue to pray and reach out with Christ across our entire region.
With all my love and prayers,
Bern

Final thoughts
Mark 14:62
One of the challenges Christ is making of me personally, is to deepen in my spiritual and emotional gifting. Attending a Dutch Holy Spirit ‘Recovery Weekend’ recently, has helped me add a few more tools to my Holy Spirit toolbox.
One of those tools is the verse above. It helps me as I pray and seek God’s face for Europe. I picture myself seated with Christ, at peace, because he is seated next to the Father of all power. In prayer, I’m listening, waiting, and asking Father for the next steps. This simple exercise is helping stay attentive to God’s voice and at peace as He rebuilds his kingdom in our lands.
Yours before the throne of grace,
Bernard
