Heidelberg, Germany
Role: Board chair Germany
When did you come to faith? I came to know Christ in my early 20s at the same time as my then future wife- Katja. We joined the local Nav student group and stuck around ever since. We benefitted a lot through personal discipleship and training as well as leadership experience.
Later, we started a student group in another town. After Uni – in the workplace and with family- we grew into different roles as CIPs, namely for me in the national and Europe boards as well as in local and national Navs.
What’s your favourite thing about your job?
… making people see! I am also an ophthalmologist 😊
Best advice you received: the well known African proverb: If you want to fast – go alone, if you want to far- go together.
About us: We have 3 kids, two of them studying now. We live in Heidelberg, which boast a sizeable castle, famously ruined (by the French). We love the outdoors, rusty cars and deep conversation – at best: life changing.
